Students will accompany experienced anaesthetists working both inside and outside operating theatres. Start times are usually 8.30am, finish times will depend on the particular operating theatre students are allocated to on a particular day.
Unfortunately, the department cannot provide a reference but an attendance certificate will be provided on completion of the placement.
You will be required to attend an induction session before your placement, we will book you onto a session in line with your placement start date.

Due to the demand for work experience placements, all work experience applicants must be Nottinghamshire residents or attend full-time education in Nottinghamshire. Applicants must attend an induction before they can attend the placement.
No placements offered over Christmas Bank Holiday.
If you are successful, we can only co-ordinate one placement per person, per academic year, through the directory of placements. This is due to the demand for placements.
