Bassetlaw Hospice

Clinical

Under our service we have an inpatient unit and day services, in the inpatient side we care for people that require either symptom management or those in the final days of their life. In the day services we provide opportunity for meaningful activities for patients, and respite for their carers. All patients under our services have a terminal diagnosis.
Opportunities:
Direct involvement - making drinks for patients, socialising (to keep entertained) with both our inpatients and day service patients, answering phones.
Observe - both nurse and medic interactions with patients, attend a ward round, attend MDT, changing of dressings, administration of medications and other nursing interventions.

Other potential opportunities:
The above is assuming clinical care is the preference, but depending on a persons interest, the work experience could include time with out charity operations manager, our counsellor or our chaplain if any of these areas are of interest.
