Students will have the opportunity to gain an understanding of the role of a podiatrist; here at Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust our podiatrists work across a range of specialisms, including Core Podiatry, Diabetic and High Risk foot wounds, Musculoskeletal and gait analysis clinics, Nail surgery (removal of ingrowing toe-nails), domiciliary visits and podiatric surgery. Students will spend time observing the podiatrist at work and developing an understanding of the profession. We work across the whole county of Nottinghamshire so will try and match the work experience offer to a location near you (North Team - Bassetlaw, Mansfield & Ashfield, Newark & Sherwood; South Team - greater Nottinghamshire including Hucknall, Carlton and Rushcliffe and City Team -Central Nottingham).

Smart casual clothes – no short skirts, jeans, shorts, trainers, hoodies, jogging bottoms or caps; comfortable footwear; ‘bare below the elbow’ in any clinical areas (ie sleeves that can be rolled up); long hair should be tied back
