King's Mill Hospital

Orthoptics – Ophthalmology

Clinical

Please note: Work Experience applicants need to apply at least 8 weeks before the placement start date. Later applications may not be processed.

This placement gives the applicant the opportunity to observe the different aspects of Orthoptics within a Hospital setting.
We will aim to coordinate the experience so they see a wide range of cases from general follow up clinics, Paediatrics with consultants, refractions with Optometry, as well as some Low vision and Stroke patients.
This experience is ideal for those students who are considering enrolling in an Orthoptics degree at university but wish to see it first hand initially.
