Students will spend one day with our busy dietetic department. The morning will be spent shadowing one qualified dietitian, and the afternoon another – this may involve visiting patients on wards or observing an outpatient clinic.
Morning and afternoon sessions will be in different specialities to give you the opportunity to experience some of the variety offered by a career as a Dietitian.
You are likely to observe several patients receiving dietetic treatment. You may encounter patient conditions that are upsetting or of a medical nature.
Time will be given for you to ask dietitians about their jobs and their dietetic training.
The day will run from 9:30am to 4pm.
