Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology

Clinical

We are really pleased to be able to offer some one day placements for work experience in our Clinical Psychology team at NUH. We are a friendly team and keen to help those interested in working in psychological professions find out more about the day to day work of clinical psychologists. This placement is not a specific training or teaching placement, but an opportunity to gain a broad understanding of the varied work of clinical psychologists in a hospital setting.

Placements will be for one day and may in an adult medical psychology service or a paediatric psychology service. We are also hoping to offer some placements within neuropsychology. Some placements will be at City Hospital and some at QMC. Please mention in your application if you would prefer a placement in adult or paediatrics or neuro and if you would prefer City or QMC – we will try to offer people their preferred placement but we can’t guarantee this.

We are committed to widening access to careers in clinical psychology. We encourage applications from under-represented groups including care leavers, pupils from lower socio-economic groups, or attending schools with low progression into higher education and those who are the first generation in their family to consider higher education
