Students would sit in a consultant clinic for children with chronic kidney disease. They would have the opportunity to learn about chronic illness with the family and also to see the role of other team members in clinic such as the nurse or dietitian. In the afternoon there would be opportunity to spend time on the children’s renal ward and/or haemodialysis unit.
This placement is only offered for one day, on a Tuesday.
Applicants are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19.

Please can you report to Mr Christian's office around 8.30am. It is on E floor East Block. The easiest way to find it is to come up the stairs to E floor from the staircase in the main entrance opposite Costa coffee/pharmacy. When you get to E floor, turn left and the office is the 6th door on the left.
Shortly before you come, if you could email Mr Christian a copy of your CV. In terms of preparation for the day please write some simple objectives and send them to Mr Christian beforehand as well.

Due to the demand for work experience placements, all work experience applicants must be Nottinghamshire residents or attend full-time education in Nottinghamshire. Applicants must attend an induction before they can attend the placement.
If you are successful, we can only co-ordinate one placement per person, per academic year, through the directory of placements. This is due to the demand for placements.
