Please note: Work Experience applicants need to apply at least 8 weeks before the placement start date. Later applications may not be processed.

An Occupational Therapist helps all kinds of people overcome all kinds of challenges, so they can live as fully and independently as possible. This might involve learning new ways to do things, or making changes to their environment to make things easier.

In this placement, students will observe a variety of interventions in relation to this specialism, interacting with staff and observing their day to day duties.

Applicants are encouraged to be vaccinated against Covid-19.


Sherwood Forest Hospitals


Please report to Clinic 10 reception (therapy department) for an 8:30am start. A member of staff will collect you from there to complete a short induction.

Please wear smart black trousers, a white short sleeved shirt or polo shirt (not a cropped item of clothing of any kind or anything without sleeves) and black shoes or black trainers.

Please avoid heavy make-up, perfumes/deodorant. Acrylic nails or nail varnish are not allowed. Long hair should be tied up so that it does not touch your collar.



Due to the demand for work experience placements, all work experience applicants must be Nottinghamshire residents or attend full-time education in Nottinghamshire.

If you are successful, we can only co-ordinate one placement per person, per academic year, through the directory of placements. This is due to the demand for placements.
